Business owners: don’t forget about the new harassment prevention training deadline!

by | Oct 8, 2019 | Firm News |

Just a reminder to all business owners:

On or before January 1, 2020, employers are required to provide interactive sexual harassment prevention training to all employees, even if they were trained in 2018. Training is required if you have 5 or more employees. If you have 5 or more employees, employers must provide supervisors with two hours of sexual harassment training and non-supervisors with one hour of sexual harassment training every two years and within six months of hire or promotion. The training should include prevention of harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.  Please see Gov. Code 12950.1 and 2 CCR 11024 for further information.
